Ah, to my own essence, the Guru, free of dualistic
conceptuality and clinging I go for refuge.
54 Pearls: 43 – Never forget sentient beings
No matter how hard times are, never forget sentient beings. When you experience hardships, if you believe you are the only one in the world who is suffering, then your heart contracts. You’re focused only on your own suffering, forgetting that all sentient beings are suffering as well. Hell-beings, hungry ghosts and animals undergo unfathomable torments. In comparison, our suffering is negligible. Our attainment of enlightenment is only necessary in order to release these countless sentient beings from their agony.
