54 Pearls: 11 – True Compassion
If one truly possesses compassion, even if he or she verbally abuses or physcially strikes another, it will be out of a loving desire to help. On the contrary, someone who smiles only on the surface but has no compassion in his heart is capable of murder. Some such people have so much hate and bitterness in their hearts that everything they do is “terrorist activity,” even if they have no weapon in hand. So it is absolutely imperative that we gradually root out all our hate and transform it into compassion.
