The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva (24 teachings)

Thogme Zangpo composed The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva. These are very well known and respected teachings on the practices to be adopted in the practise of attaining the most precious realisation as a Bodhisattva and are taught extensively in Tibetan Buddhism. Bodhisattva in Sanskrit, literally meansone whose essence is enlightenment’

Thogme Zangpo lived in the 14th Century (1295-1369). Both his parents had passed away by the time he was six, he joined a monastery at the early age of nine years old and was already teaching the Dharma when only 21 years old.

These videos are an explanation of my basic understanding, and not realisation, of the teachings of the 37 practices of a Bodhisattva and I hope they are of some benefit.

Another very famous teaching with respect to Bodhichitta is Shantideva’s ‘The Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life’.
